I'm waiting for EX to get back to me on my question about pixellation problems (the REAAALLY little pics came out looking REAAALLY fugly) and then it's all in their capable hands for the scanslating of the Japanese ones and for the editing of the French ones.

But I couldn't leave you all high and dry, now could I?! I also translated the captions/explanations for the DBGT prototype sketches that appeared in Weekly Jump for this site. Naturally the captions will go up with the sketches once everything's been scanned.

I offered a trade with Daizenshuu EX that consisted of letting them put up the GT scans (with each respective translated caption) in exchange for my being allowed to put up their translated third chapter of Neko Majin Z. For those of you who don't know, Neko Majin was a gag manga that Akira Toriyama did not too long ago. In a sequel to this one-shot, we follow the adventures of Z, a specific Neko Majin, in his battles against Onio (another Super Saiyan), Kuriiza (Freeza's son whose head is shaped like a chestnut) and even against Vegeta. It's a great read and I hope to get all three chapters up one day. To read Neko Majin and Neko Majin Z, head on over to Toriyama's World.

Lastly, I've started adding sites to the right of the page. It looks awkward so far so I'll stop with the ones that are up. Pretty much, those are THE best DragonBall sites on the net. Except for Toriyama's World. That's a scanslation site. Once I figure out how to clean up the links section, I'll add more sites and links to a few people's blogs.

Vote Reminder/DB Manga Project

Just a reminder that elections are Monday the 28th. I will not tell you how I think you should vote. That's wrong and it would influence you to do something you might not want to do. I DO think you should vote, however, even if you think it won't change anything. If nobody votes, we'll get a minority gov't and that's BAD. It's your choice ultimately, but if you do choose not to vote, just remember you forfeit any right to complain to myself, officials, or your friends or family if something bad happens. Be it a National Emergency or bad street cleaning service, shaddapayouface. No that's not a law, it's just reeeeeeaaaalllyy annoying to listen to fucks like you. You CHOSE NOT to give your opinion when it counted, so why do you think we want to hear it when it doesn't?

Now on to my first post concerning Dragonball! I should celebrate this or something! Mark it down! Or something! **Drinks a sip of Tropicana Twister** Cheers! Or something!

This is actually a big important DB related post. It involves many rare mini-manga, both gag and documentary, that Akira Toriyama wrote for Weekly Jump about Dragonball. One of the gag manga can even be argued as canon. It's also the last appearance of Lunch, which takes place in the Namek Saga. I'm writing to say that I intend on scanslating these mini-manga. Luckily, Julian from Daizenshuu EX, according to EX anyway, will be assisting me in translating the manga. I've yet to obtain an editor, but it sounded like they'd handle that anyway. The five manga are as follow:

1) A 6-panel X-Mas special that has the last appearance of Lunch (from the Namek saga!!!).

2) A 4 chapter (4-panels per chapter) mini-manga called "The Manga Training of MutenRoshi!"

3) A 4 chapter manga (4 panels again) is "Akira Toriyama, the grand master of manga!!"

4) A 15-panel manga called "The Anime and Me", where Toriyama explains why there's filler, that he loves filler, and considers Dragonball to be the manga AND the anime (...does that mean he considers filler as canon?!). It's also the one where he explains he once considered having Goku as an old geezer at the end of the manga (he drew geezer goku in this panel)

5) It's the famous but lost 4-panel manga of Vegeta getting a gutterball as Toriyama's contribution to "First Drawings of the New Year of Jump!" I say "lost" because it was all over the DB community back in the day, but now that the community is a 3rd world country, it seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth.

Here's hoping all goes well. I can't wait to show you all the finished product. ^_^

Clearing up about Daizex/Happy French-Canadian Day!

Some of you may have noticed in my profile that I quote Daizenshuu EX as "my" site. It isn't. For some odd reason whenever I save my profile without filling the section for a website, it will automatically choose the url of a randomly chosen porn site of some sort and link to there. Maybe it's because I said I like sex in my profile as a joke. :P
So, to avoid this from happening again, I filled it in with a link to Daizenshuu EX, my favorite Dragonball site. Why is it my favorite? Because it's easily by far the best DB site on the net right now. It's run by mature webmasters (a rare occurence amongst the DB community) and is the only place to go for ALL news (not rumours) concerning Dragonball happening. It's where I get well over 90% of my DB news from.

On a lighter note, HAPPY FRENCH-CANADIAN DAY!!!! Ah, to do nothing and get paid for it! Is it a holiday? ONLY IN QUEBEC! Wheeeeee!!! ^_^ Why the French Quebecers chose St John the Baptist as their patron saint is beyond me, but who cares?! I get paid to sit at home! It's almost illegal to work today! If you feel like voting doesn't accomplish anything, you suck. This week my city became surrounded by demerged cities because people were too apathetic to vote. We only had 29% of the voters voting when a 35% yes vote was needed to demerge. In other words, our 90%+ yes vote counted for nothing since not enough people voted. As a result, instead of demerging from Montreal like the smart cities, I now live in an isolated portion of the West Island where we are cut off from the few non-demerged cities. As a result: in exchange for even LESS services (if such a thing is possible), my taxes will double so I can maintain the crubmling megacity. Not MY part of the megacity, mind you, as I live in a section that's so cut off from the huddling non-demergers that we will intentionally be left abandoned to fend for ourselves. Thanks, assholes! At least our tax dollars would have gone to our city had we demerged!

First Post

BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Welcome to DragonBlog! Do you hate DB sites that have died out and no longer have ANYTHING to do with DragonBall other than their overly-hyped layouts? Or maybe they're DB sites that say they're all that but only offer DB as a side-section of part of their now multi-anime dedicated site? How about my personal fav: the sites that promise to update, but complain about their personal lives instead for a year and a half (one "update" every other month of course) before turning into a different kind of fansite where the "updates" are all about dissing DB?

IF WE WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR TRAILOR TRASH PROBLEMS WE'D WATCH FOX!! We came looking for a DragonBall site! Not a multi-anime site and definitely not a site that blabs blabs blabs about what you like/dislike and how much of a bitch you think some other site is for liking your layout! For things like that, people turn to blogs!

Blogs like this one! I'm not gonna bull-shit you here: this is a blog about me. I KNOW I'm going to go off-topic and talk about things that irk me and things that I find cool from time to time. However, I have a strong passion for DragonBall so I decided to make this blog DB themed. You know: to give me a way to excuse myself from the ever-growing sewer of crappy-assed DB sites. ^_^
